Mental Health has a very active multi-disciplinary research group that meets monthly and allows for cross fertilisation of research ideas. It is involved in multi site interventional research trials including trials of psychological interventions. We are one of four national sites investigating an innovative approach to management of Hepatitis C in people with psychosis. We have just completed the state wide NHMRC funded partnership research into the PARCS (Prevention and Recovery Services). The Dr Owen Williams Bequest, Mental Health research fund allows us to support local research to a maximum of $20000 per year in addition to supporting a visiting scholar to provide a Grand round and education to our clinical and research staff. The Mental Health research group has established a useful web site within Peninsula Health Moodle to assist early career researchers in developing their research proposals. Access to this can be granted by contacting Jennie Chislett Jchislett@phcn.vic.gov.au.
