Travel time is an important part of many health services, such as ambulance transport to hospital emergency departments for acute stroke. We have developed a suite of computational tools that access a range of geospatial data, including travel time estimates from Google APIs and national scale road networks using OpenStreetMaps, to address a range of health service questions. Projects have included investigations of a range of acute stroke services, including mobile stroke units and emergency clot retrieval, staff recall times and homebirth services.
