After hip fracture many people have very low levels of physical activity. There is evidence that increasing walking and physical activity has many health benefits, but is challenging for people after hip fracture. This randomised controlled trial will find out if receiving a health coaching intervention called motivational interviewing, which is designed to increase confidence in walking in addition to what they usually do (standard care), is an effective intervention for improving health outcomes for you. The project is being run in collaboration with Eastern Health and La Trobe University.
